synopsis:

This comprehensive assessment of student housing studied key factors such as housing type and size, sustainable building systems and finishes, and the development of modern standards of living for metropolitan area graduate students.

Aligning with the College’s mission, the initial phase provided an assessment of the institution’s housing needs as well as a physical conditions survey. New physical standards were established based upon a cultural assessment, college and student focus groups. Cost estimates for multiple renovation and replacement scenarios were developed for use in strategic planning and capital allocation, which include new systems upgrades with sustainable building systems for all buildings.

The initial construction project began in 2013 with the renovation of the first student residences.

CetraRuddy also completed the lobby renovation and provided select finishes and furniture for the institution's Community College Research Center.
